Learn Astrology with Vee: Exploring Venus

Astrology is so much broader than what your Sun sign tells you.

Learn Astrology with Vee is a live virtual class for people who are curious and ready to go deeper. In this series, we will explore astrology one topic at a time, beginning with the planets.

Each class will focus on one astrological topic or planet. We will explore its meaning through astronomy, mythology, psychology, and astrological symbolism. I will teach you the foundations, but I will also give you an opportunity to examine your own birth chart, ask questions, and discover more about yourself.

This is where astrology becomes especially valuable: when you can recognize how cosmic energies may influence your desires, relationships, personality, and the way you interact with the world around you.

This Month’s Planet: Venus

Our first class will focus on Venus.

Venus represents much more than romance. It can tell us about our desires, relationships, values, attraction, pleasure, creativity, self-worth, and the things we find beautiful or meaningful.

During this class, we will explore Venus as an astronomical body, a mythological figure, a psychological archetype, and an important planet in your birth chart.

What You Will Learn

• The foundational role of the planets in astrology
• The astronomical characteristics of Venus
• The mythology and symbolism associated with Venus
• What Venus represents psychologically and astrologically
• How Venus can influence your desires, values, relationships, attraction, pleasure, creativity, and self-worth
• How Venus expresses itself through the zodiac signs
• How the house placement of Venus shows where its energy may appear in your life
• How to begin identifying and interpreting Venus in your own birth chart

You will also have an opportunity to ask questions, explore your chart, and learn through examples from other charts.

Who Is This Class For?

• Beginners who want to understand astrology beyond their Sun sign
• Intermediate students who want to deepen their understanding
• People who are naturally curious about astrology, symbolism, spirituality, or the esoteric
• Anyone who wants to use their birth chart as a tool for greater self-understanding
• People who want to learn in community with other astrology-curious students

You do not need extensive astrology experience to participate. Come with your chart, your curiosity, and your questions.

What Type of Astrology Will We Use?

My teaching primarily favors Vedic astrology, but I am also influenced by Western astrology. I use the sidereal zodiac and the whole-sign house system when interpreting birth charts.

What Chart Should I Bring?

I recommend generating your sidereal birth chart using the whole-sign house system. Instructions for accessing your chart will be provided before class. If you know your exact birth time, please use it. You can still attend without an exact birth time, although your house placements may not be accurate.

Will the Class Be Recorded?

Yes. The class will be recorded and sent to registered participants after the event. You are welcome to keep your camera off. Questions asked by microphone may be included in the recording.
